Georgetown, South Carolina
A noteworthy structure in the historic district of Georgetown, the 5400 square foot Winyah Auditorium had been in a state of disrepair for two decades. The structure, placed on the historic register in 1988, has now been renovated into an Ophthalmologist office and a public auditorium. The process was a joint venture between the private sector and the City government to recreate a 300 seat performing theater. The structure anchors the municipal complex that includes the Judicial Center among several other civic structures.
