Carvers Bay Branch Library

The Carvers Bay Library is a Georgetown County branch library located adjacent to Carvers Bay High School. The forms and materials are regionally derived and selected to maintain a comfortable human scale. The main interior spaces admit non-glare north light while providing full views of the adjacent wooded site. The easily supervised interior provides computer and general work areas designed to meet current and future needs of the growing community. The Library was one of four nationally recognized Libraries by The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for innovative design in a rural community setting.
